Description:
Perennial herb up to 80 cm with broadly ovate, petiolate leaves along the lower part of the stem, decreasing in size towards the top. Inflorescence in loose heads, the outer bracts red or pink, the flowers white to pale yellow.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: oxyphyllum: with a sharply pointed leaf
Habitat: In grassland and open woodland.
