Description:
Bushy perennial, up to c. 1 m tall. Leaves spirally arranged along the stems, linear up to c. 2 cm long, grey-green. Capitula c. 1.2 mm in diameter in lax branched terminal inflorescences. Ray-florets pale to deep mauve; disk-florets yellow to reddish-brown.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: rosmarinifolia: leaves like the herb rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
Habitat: Occurring in Brachystegia woodland and rank grassland on rocky hillsides.
Altitude range: (metres) 1000 - 1900 m
Flowering time:Jul - Sep
Worldwide distribution: Ethiopia, Sudan, DRC, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe
