Erect or sprawling perennial herb; leaves deeply lobed but not appearing pinnate, covered in grey velvety hairs.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: heptalobum: with 7 lobes, referring to the leaves
Habitat: A species of Brachystegia woodland, grassland and bracken scrub in high rainfall areas.
Altitude range: (metres) Up to 2150 m
Flowering time:
Worldwide distribution: Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
