Description:
Perennial herb. Leaves in a basal rosette, oblanceolate to narrowly elliptic; margin dentate with teeth widely spaced. Capitula many in branched inflorescences; ray florets yellow.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: capensis: of the Cape
Habitat: Most often in seasonally moist habitats but also in drier habitats such as grassland and miombo woodland, often soon after the grass has been burnt.
