Description: |
Perennial climbing or twining herb with milky sap. Stems 2-3 m long, covered in soft hairs. Leaves lanceolate-oblong to narrowly ovate, hairy on both surfaces, cordate at the base; apex with a long drawn out point, sometimes mucronate. Flowers in axillary pseudo-umbels. Corolla creamy-green. Outer corona lobes white with a horn-like appendage; inner lobes greenish-white. Fruit often with only one follicle fully developed, 5-8.5 cm long, pale green with dark blotches, covered in soft velvety hairs. |
Notes: | Probably rare in Zimbabwe; known from a single record from Victoria Falls (Rogers 13125, BOL). |
