Description:
|
Shrub or small tree. Leaves palmately 3-5-foliolate; leaflets oblong-obovate or oblong-elliptic, mostly 2-11 cm long, stellate-pubescent; petiole 1-2.5 cm long; petiolules up to 8 cm long. Inflorescences in subsessile terminal clusters, few-flowered. Calyx tubular, 1-2 cm long, hairy. Corolla yellow with reddish lines at the throat; tube 3.5-5.5 cm long; lobes 0.5-1.5 cm long. Fruit linear-cylindrical, 11-38 cm long, reddish or golden hairy. |

Popular as an ornamental tree but young trees and seedlings are occasionally seen as naturalized escapes. |
