Acaulescent perennial. Leaves 1-3, up to 1.2 m × 12-15 cm, lanceolate to elongate-lanceolate, with light-green to grey zigzag-like bands on the adaxial side, capable of rolling up into a watertight tube with a diameter of 2.5 cm for the dry season. Inflorescence an elongated thyrse up to 1.3 m. Flowers 5-5.5 cm, greenish-white. Fruit a berry, 8-10 mm, 1- to 3-lobed, orange. |
