Description:
Erect annual, rarely short-lived perennial, herb. Leaves elliptic to slightly obovate, pubescent. Flowers small, whitish with green markings in the lower lip, held in long, lanceolate, pubescent bracts.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: mysorensis: of Mysore (Maysure) in India, where the type specimen was collected.
Habitat: In grassland and often as a weed of disturbed areas and roadsides.
Altitude range: (metres) Up to 1300 m
Flowering time:
Worldwide distribution: DRC, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Yemen and India.
