Description of the genus

Comment: Note: Maroyi gives A. marginatum and Biegel gives A. comosum and A. comosum var. nitidum (=A. nitidum). From FTEA Bignoniaceae, it appears that A. nitidum = A. marginatum, so there do appear to be two species. Maybe check at SRGH?

Worldwide: 60 species in tropical America
