Notes: Grown from seed (accession no. 2923) ex Lucknow Botanic Garden, India. A tree 5 m with 2 main stems. Bark brown-grey, transversely a little wrinkled and showing old leaf scars when stems up to 15 cm diameter. Inflorescence terminal also on short (not arrested) branches from thick (20 cm diam.) brown. Flowers dull orange to orange-red; "style" red, pollen yellow. Much visited by bees.
