Description:

Tree to 25 m. Trunk grey with prominent buttresses and raised roots running along the surface. Leaves: petiole 10-15 cm long; lamina large, 11-23 × 7.5-12.5 cm, elliptic to slightly ovate, shiny green above, reddish-brown beneath; apex acute. Peduncle stout up to 15 mm long. Fruit spherical to somewhat ovoid, 13-25 mm, solitary in the leaf axils, maroon-red with yellowish irregular spots when mature, glabrous. |
