Location (detailed): The park covers an area of 44,500 ha in Matobo district, Matabeleland South, managed by the Zimbabwean Department of National Parks and Wildlife Management.


The Matobo Hills, including the National Park were inscribed as aWorld Heritage site in 2003.

Note that the Maleme Dam location (no. 19) is entirely enclosed within the National Park.
