Habitat: Closed mixed forest with Millettia stuhlmannii. Mid-slope of forested slope. Large Platycerium fern on trunk, and strangler fig.

Notes: Forest tree to 25 m in canopy, others to 18 m. Stem fluted, bark pale, smooth, greyish, c. 70 cm dbh. Slash marbled yellow, egg yolk + butter, with spicy smell. Branched high. Leaves paler under, pilose above. Not fertile.
