Slender terrestrial herb 15-45 cm tall; tubers ellipsoid to ovoid, 2.5-1.5 cm; leaves 4-8, the basal 1-2 sheath like, mid-stem leaves semi-spreading, 3.5-8.5 x 0.7-2 cm, ovate or lanceolate, upper stem leaves grading into bracts; inflorescence to 11 cm long, laxly 1-7 flowered, bracts slightly shorter; ovary and pedicel 15-25 mm long; flowers sweetly scented, white with green veined sepals, dorsal sepal 10-11 x 2.5-4.5 mm, erect, convex, acute, lateral sepals c. 12 x 6 mm, obliquely obovate; petals 2-lobed to base, upper lobe 8-10 mm long, erect, lower lobe 10-15 mm long, curving forwards and up, narrowly linear, less than 1 mm wide; lip 3-lobed almost to base, mid-lobe deflexed, 12-14 x 1 mm, linear, side lobes 5.5-8.5 x 0.5 mm, filiform, projecting forwards but curving down slightly; spur 8-10 mm long, pendent, swollen at apex; anther erect, c. 4 mm tall, canals 7-8 mm long, porrect, tips upcurved; stigmatic arms 5.5-8 mm long, projecting forwards, enlarged and truncate at apex. |
