Description: |
Rhizome erect to suberect, up to 7 mm diameter; scales brown, subentire, up to 12 mm long. Fronds tufted, not proliferous. Stipe up to 8 cm, stipe and rhachis densely covered with hair-like scales up to 5 mm long. Lamina up to 1m long and 25cm wide, deeply 2-pinnatifid, lanceolate in outline. Pinnae subglabrous, lanceolate with tapering points, shallowly incised into crenate lobes. Sori linear, lying almost parallel to the costa; indusium linear, entire. |
Notes: | Similar to A. protensum but A. pellucidum is not proliferous. Differs from A. friesiorum by having an erect to suberect rhizome. The rhachis and stipe of A. pellucidum are also densely set with dark scales. |
