Description: |
Perennial; culms usually solitary on tough creeping stolons. Involucral bract 1, leaf-like. Inflorescence simple to compound, corymbose, 2-6 primary branches; spikelets solitary at the ends of primary and secondary branches. ovoid, with up to 50 glumes; glumes white. Easily recognized by the solitary white spikelets. |
