Description: |
Perennial herb with a basal rosette of leaves and 1-3 flowering stems per rosette up to c. 30 cm high, growing from a branching rootstock. Leaves up to c. 10 cm long, slightly spongy, tapering to a fine point. Capitulum globose or slightly flattened. 5-12 mm wide, dirty white; involucral bracts shorter than the capitulum width, c. 3 mm long, obovate-oblong,pale straw-coloured.; floral bracts oblanceolate, spongy along the keel, flushed grey, densely white hairy. |
