Description:
Epiphytic herb, with a short stem. Leaves 5-10, fleshy, up to 25 cm and linear, very unequally lobed at the apex. Inflorescence spirally arranged on a long, slender peduncle. Flowers, c. 7 mm across, pale greenish-white. Lip distinctly 3-lobed; spur 5-15 mm.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: parviflora: small-flowered
Habitat: In mixed evergreen and riverine forest, often growing fairly low on tree trunks.
Altitude range: (metres) 850 - 1700 m
Flowering time:Jan - Mar
Worldwide distribution: Cameroon, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Mozambique; also Madagascar and the Mascarene Islands.
