Description:
Delicate dwarf epiphytic herb. The leaves are often faintly banded darker green on the veins. The inflorescence carries up to 10 pale green flowers, 12-13 mm across with a spur c.17 mm long.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: tanganyikense: of Tanganyika (Tanzania)
Habitat: In deep shade as a low level epiphyte on twigs and branches in the understorey of montane evergreen forest.
Altitude range: (metres) 1700 - 2400 m
Flowering time:Feb - Apr
Worldwide distribution: Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
