Description: |
Slender terrestrial herb, up to 1 m. Leaves 2-3, grass-like, up to 28 cm, well developed at the time of flowering. Flowering stem covered in pale brown papery sheaths. Inflorescence open with 20 to 30 flowers. Flowers bright yellow; sepals and petals similar; lip covered in darker orange-brown to purple papillae. |

Habitat: | In open seasonally wet grassland and vlei margins, often along roadsides. |
