Synonyms: Eulophia chlorotica Kraenzl.
Common names:
Status: Native
Terrestrial herb, 40 to 60 cm, with small conical pseudobulbs. Leaves 3-4 erect, linear, plicate, well developed at the time of flowering. Inflorescence 6-12 flowered. Flowers not opening wide Sepals green, flushed with brown; petals white, folded forward over the column. Lip 3-lobed; side lobes erect; mid-lobe white with faint purple lines and 7 rows of papillae.
Derivation of specific name: tanganyikensis: of Tanganyika (Tanzania)
Habitat: In vleis and bogs
Altitude range: (metres) 1050 - 1700 m
Flowering time:Nov - Feb
Worldwide distribution: DRC, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and doubtfully Botswana.
