Description: |
Hairless terrestrial herb, 20-40 cm tall with ovoid, oblong or cylindrical pseudobulbs,2-4 cm long. Leaf solitary, oblong-lanceolate or oblong-elliptic, 10-30 cm long, folded along the length towards the base, leathery, grey-green mottled with dark green; petiole 1-2 cm long. Inflorescence erect, simple or with 1-2 short branches, fairly laxly 10-20-flowered. Sepals linear-ligulate or narrowly oblanceolate, 7-13 mm long, greenish-white, greenish-pink or straw-coloured, dorsal sepal erect, lateral sepals deflexed. Petals obliquely oblong-elliptic, 8.5-11 mm, same colours as the sepals. Lip 3-lobed, 7-9 mm long, white with 2 purple-red blotches at the base of the mid-lobe and side-lobes purple-veined and erect. Spur stout, straight, 4-5 mm long, bulbous at the the tip. |
