Description: |
Semi-deciduous tree, to 30 m tall, hemi-epiphytic or terrestrial. Bark typically pale, sulphur green to white. Leaves 10-28 × 6-10 cm, elliptic to oblong or subcircular, leathery, glossy, glabrous; apex rounded to broadly acute; petiole 3.5-10 cm long. Fruit borne on short (c. 10 mm long) spine-like, forward-pointing spurs on the main branches and trunk. Receptacle ± spherical, up to c. 3 cm long and 3.5 cm in diameter, mid-green with yellowish spots. |
