Description:
Evergreen shrub or small tree. Leaves simple (1-foliolate) with a winged petiole. Flowers bisexual, (4)5-merous), white with numerous stamens. Fruit ovoid, many-seeded, fleshy with a thick slightly warty skin, green to yellow when ripe (the well-known lemon).

Habitat: A regular, non-invasive escape along forest margins and in riverine fringes.
