Description:
Scrambling shrub or small tree. Leaves imparipinnate with 4-6 pairs of leaflets and a terminal leaflet; leaflets opposite or alternate, ovate to elliptic, mostly c. 7 × 3 cm, rather dull green and finely velvety above, more densely so below, base asymmetric; margins entire. Flowers in short and dense, stalked axillary heads, white to yellowish, small. Fruit a spherical woody capsule, pale green, c. 1.5 cm in diameter, splitting into 3 valves, revealing black seeds, in a dull dark red aril.
