Description: |
Mostly a multi-stemmed shrub, occasionally a small tree. Bark dark grey and deeply fissured, peeling away in strips; young branches velvety. Leaves elliptic-oblong to lanceolate, up to 7 × 2 cm, 3-veined from the base, dull green above, silvery-white hairy below; margin finely toothed. Flowers yellow, 1.5 cm in diameter, in axillary heads, often in profusion. Fruit spherical or 2-lobed, each lobe c. 6 mm in diameter, reddish-brown, edible. |
