Description:
|
Robust climber or liane with stems up to 6m long. Leaves ovate or triangular, up to 13.5 cm long, cordate at the base with a broad or narrow sinus, dark glossy green; margin entire; petiole slender, up to 8 cm long. Flowers in lax few to many-flowered axillary inflorescences, rarely solitary; peduncle 2-11 cm long; pedicels and secondary peduncles up to 3 cm long. Sepals ovate-elliptic, 1.3-1.7 cm long. Corolla pure white, lilac or pinkish with a darker centre, with a more or less cylindrical tube 5-8 cm long. Capsule globose, leathery, hairless, tipped by the persistent style. |
