Description: |
Perennial herb, suffrutex or small shrub to 60 cm. Leaves narrowly obovate, glabrous or sparsely hairy, weakly serrate especially near apex. Calyx densely white-tomentose. Corolla almost white to mauve or purple. |
Notes: | Frequent on the Gt Dyke where it favours copper and nickel-rich soils and from which derives its English name.. However, it also occurs locally in the C Division (Domboshawa and near Ngomakurira) and in the E division (Nyanga area) where it appears to occur on granite. |
