Small perennial herb. Leaves in a basal rosette, obovate, 2-4 × 1-2 cm, hairless and smooth above (rarely with a few hairs), densely pubescent beneath; margin closely ciliate. Inflorescence arising from the centre of the rosette on a ± sessile peduncle with relatively long (2-3 cm) pedicels bearing individual flowers. Corolla c. 15 mm long; colour varying from purple or blue to pink with a white and yellowish throat; upper lip entire; lower lip 3-lobed. |
