Description: |
Perennial herb with few to many erect or decumbent branches up to 60 cm tall, growing from a woody rootstock. Leaves more or less narrowly oblong-elliptic, lanceolate to spathulate, 3.3-9 cm long, glossy above, hairless or pubescent on the main veins; petiole 0-18 mm long. Inflorescence in opposite axillary clusters; bracts green and blackish-brown, ovate-elliptic, 5-9 mm long, ciliate. Corolla 20-28 mm long, white to pale blue or mauve with pink or purple markings on the lower lip, usually pubescent on the lower lip and throat; tube 10-16.5 mm long; upper lip 6-8 mm long; lower lip 9.5-12.5 mm long. Capsule 10-11 mm long, hairless or with a few hairs at the apex. |
