Description:
Many-stemmed, perennial dwarf shrub, growing from a yellowish woody base. Stems up to 90 cm long, usually erect but sometimes prostrate, forming mats. Leaves opposite or 3-4-whorled, linear-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, up to 33 × 13 mm, usually broadest at or below the middle. Inflorescences many-flowered spherical heads, 2-4 cm in diameter. Corolla whitish, pale pink, mauve or purplish, densely hairy in the tube, lobed, spreading and curled back, stamens long exserted. See O. inyangana subsp. parvifolia for comparison.
