Description: |
Many-stemmed straggling shrubby herb with stems up to 1 m long. Leaves mostly opposite, lanceolate, spreading, 23-40 mm long, hairless except for a few short hairs on margin or midrib above. Inflorescence 20-30-flowered, head-like but elongating and spike-like up to c. 10 cm in fruit. Calyx with enlarged leaf-like lobe, 2.5-5 mm long. Corolla white, hairless outside; throat and tube a little hairy inside; tube 3.5-5 mm long; lobes more or less lanceolate, 3-4 mm long. |
