Status: | Native |
Description: |
Scandent herb with annual stems arising from a perennial rootstock. It differs in the slightly longer, ellipsoid fruits, which are spherical in subsp. argyrea var. argyrea. The taxonomy of this variety may need further investigation. See Zehneria scabra subsp. scabra for comparison. |
Notes: | In SRGH, there is a further specimen (Muller & R.D. Kelly 1247) labelled as var. chirindensis, collected from the "southern tip Chimanimani Mts. On slopes above Haroni-Markuripini Forest. In woodland". However, the fruits appear to be spherical, implying it is var. argyrea. |
