Erect glabrous annual herb to 2 m. Leaves 3 × 0.3-2 cm, oblanceolate-linear, entire; base attenuate. Inflorescence a terminal panicle with numerous capitula. Phyllaries in 3 rows, linear. Disk florets bisexual, tubular, yellow. Ray florets female; rays 3-5 mm, white or pale mauve. Achene 2 mm, flattened, 5-ribbed. Pappus of 1 row of scabrid bristles. |
