Description:	See C. collinum general page for description details. This subspecies is distinguished by the yellowish-green undersurface of the leaves with indistinct veining; pale reddish-brown, rather pointed fruit (photos).
Notes:	Meg Coates Palgrave has observed (pers. comm., 2022) that this subspecies bears characteristic galls. These galls resemble wingless slightly bent fruits. Pictures of these may be seen in image no. 3 above.
Derivation of specific name:	ondongense: from Ondongo in Ovamboland in Namibia where the species was first collected in 1897.
Habitat:	Mainly restricted to Kalahari sand but sometimes in riverine vegetation.
