Description of the genus

Evergreen glabrous twiner, sometimes erect. Leaves compound, usually with 3-leaflets, broad-lanceolate to ovate, reticulate. Flowers small, numerous in racemes. Calyx teeth short. Corolla violet with a green centre. Pod flat.

Worldwide: 3 species, native to Australia.

Zimbabwe: 1 cultivated taxon.
