Differs from Habenaria in having branched stigmatic arms. Derivation of name: from the Greek kentron, a spur and stigma, referring to the horn-like upper branch of the flower’s stigmatic processes Worldwide: 5 species in tropical Africa Zimbabwe: 2 taxa. |
