Description: |
Culms 70-140 cm. high. Internodes of the culms more or less equal (the lower short, the following aproximately of equal length). Leaf-laminae usually suberect, those of the uppermost leaves never approximate in pairs. Auricles of the leaves usually pubescent. Inferior glume 5·5-6 mm. long; the superior 6.5-7 mm. long. Lemma c. 6 mm. long, with a twisted column 2-2·5 mm. long; awns subequal, usually 15-20 mm. long. |
