Description: |
Shrubby herbaceous plant, up to 3 m. Leaves opposite, oblanceolate to obovate, one leaf often larger than the other, both surfaces with long hairs, the hairs on the underside usually much softer; margins serrate. Inflorescences long pendent spikes in the upper leaf axils. Flowers unisexual in small clusters on the same spike. |
