Description:

Deciduous shrub or very small tree. Leaves pinnate with 10-14 pairs of leaflets, glabrous. Inflorescences axillary, showy; flowers deep orange to red. The pods are 4-angled with short wings on the angles and a sharply pointed tip. |

Well naturalised by streams around Harare but not generally widespread. Also recorded from the E division. |
