Description:
Subshrub, up to 2.5 m tall, with bristly-hairy stems. Leaves borne in fascicles on short shoots; leaflets 10-24, 3-10 × 1-2 mm, linear-spathulate. Inflorescences subsessile, very dense, borne in axils of upper leaves. Bracts 7-8 mm, ciliate, long acuminate; bracteoles falcate. Standard 6-9 mm, blue with yellow at the base. Fruit of 1-2 articles.

Derivation of specific name: strigosa: strigose or with stiff appressed hairs, referring to the stems
Habitat: In woodland, evergreen forest and bushland on peaty or sandy soil
