Description: |
Scandent shrub or liane, armed with spines. Branchlets hooked or coiled to aid climbing. Leaves imparipinnate with 11-19 elliptic to oblong-elliptic leaflets, up to 3.5 × 1.8 cm, apex rounded or slightly notched. Flowers in terminal or, rarely axillary panicles, small, white to yellowish. Pods flat, 4-12 cm long, 1-4-seeded, blackish over the seeds, indehiscent. |

Habitat: | In riverine and evergreen forest, Miombo woodland and dry deciduous thickets. |
