Description: |
Shrub up to 3 m tall. Young branchlets dark purplish-brown. Leaves somewhat fleshy, bluish-green; leaflets 14-22, oblong-elliptic, 1.2-3 cm long, rounded but mucronulate at the apex; margin entire or sometimes ciliolate. Stipules very large and conspicuous up to 3.7 × 3 cm, ovate-elliptic, hairless,eventually deciduous. Flowers in many-flowered axillary, often branched inflorescences, yellow to orange, purple-veined with a dark reddish patch at the base of the standard. Fruit of 3 semicircular articles, each c. 8 × 5 mm, joined by very narrow necks, hairless or sparsely ciliate. |
