Frequency: Common in the Nyanga area of the E Highlands
Status: Native
Spreading shrub, often forming dense tangled clumps.
Notes: Note: This may prove to be different species from the small bushes occurring in drier highveld grassland in South Africa. (See John Burrows in Trees and Shrubs of Mpumalanga and Kruger Nat. Park, page 668).

Habitat: Along forest margins and in montane grassland; also in more disturbed habitats such as roadsides
