Climber to 3 m high, stem almost white; on rocky conglomerate sandstone ridge in mixed Brachystegia torrei/Androstachys woodland.

Climber to 2 m, scrambling over bushes in ecotone between miombo woodland and riverine forest, on sandy soils.
